"A must own accessory for a business user"
I have had my Clamcase Pro for a week now and it has turned my ipad into a functional device for work now. The quality of the device is amazing. The only drawback is that the entire enclosure isnt aluminum. I would have preferred a glossy white or black back case as the matte white tends to get dirty just on my first international trip. But dont let that deter you...the function and quality of this keyboard and the way it transforms your ipad's ability to be productive is unparalled. Lastly I would add that I at 7 days I still havent run the battery down completely yet.

"Excellent improvements over previous clamcase. Love the new keyboard."
Has all the features of the last version, plus some great improvements. The new keyboard is excellent. The case seems sturdier with better materials - and thinner. A great tool when traveling.

"Accept weight-functionality tradeoff and have a writing machine!"
First of all, kudos to their customer support. I received a discount offer 2 days after I already ordered my unit. They honored it by refunding the amount! My original unit was defective. But the replacement process was painless: I received a replacement unit in 2 days! They go an extra mile to win their customers!
Now, about the keyboard case. I read reviews extensively and already knew/anticipated about the weight issue. If the light weight is what you want, this is not the keyboard case for you. If you are looking for a writing machine, you have the solution in Clamcase Pro. After slipping my iPad 3 into it, I now have a touch-screen pad/laptop with the Retina Display with all my favorite iOS apps and functionality. Like so many other people said, my iPad usage easily tripled. What you lose in portability, you easily gain in usability/functionality. But you must understand and accept the tradeoffs.
In terms of some issues, as others noted, the earphone jack hole is too small. Not a major problem for me, however: I am an audiophile and use a LOD cable attached to a DAC/amp through the iPad's 30 pin connector. I do wish I had an access to the mute/rotation lock switch.
In sum,
Pros:
- Best keyboard that exponentially increases the productivity
- Infinitely adjustable screen angle
- Ability to use it as a tablet once the keyboard is fully folded to the back
- Full iPad protection
- Attaching/detaching iPad is very easy, if you must.
Cons:
- Weight
- Small earphone jack hole
- Mute/screen orientation lock switch inaccessible

"The best Keyboard/case I have ever used"
I have used over 10 different types of keyboard/cases over the last 3 years and can say without doubt the best I have ever used.

Seriously, could NOT be easier to link ClamCase & iPad. Love the keyboard-has volume controls & pause/play/rewind controls. Now I actually enjoy my iPad.
